Drunken Father Forgets about Son in Car

In Pasadena, police say that a father forgot about strapping his three-year-old son into a car seat where the boy was found one day later.

The young boy was found by a passerby on Sunday night, said Police Chief Phillip Sanchez.  The boy was in decent shape, but dehydrated. He was taken to the hospital for an evaluation and later placed into protective custody.

Two blocks away from the parking lot where the boy was found, police located his drunken father, 23-year-old Joe Kurihara the night before.  He was arrested for public intoxication and misdemeanor resisting arrest.  Police said that the father was so drunk, he forgot he left his son in the car.
