Teacher Arrested on Sexual Assault of a Child Charges

A 30-year-old man who is a teacher and coach at a local high school was recently arrested after being accused of having sex with a 14-year-old girl. The girl was not a student at the school the suspect, M.C., was employed at. The girl's parents had called authorities after her whereabouts were unknown on January 11^th. The teen had told her parents that she was going to spend the night at a friend's house but they found out that she had never actually arrived there. She did not answer her cell phone when they tried to contact her which led to her father looking into phone records. He found a number that he didn't recognize which his daughter was frequently calling or receiving calls from. Her parents gave authorities permission to obtain deleted text and voice messages and discovered that the number belonged to the teacher. Reports state that several of the deleted messages showed that the teen and M.C. discussed having sex together.
