Brooklyn Men Arrested and Charged With Running Sex Trafficking Ring

Just a few days ago right here in Brooklyn, two men were arrested and charged with running a sex trafficking ring. According to prosecutors, the offenders were forcing young teenage girls into prostitution, branding some of them like cattle with tattoos and beating them if they did not comply with bringing in the desired quantities of money.
Seventeen Year Old Girl Saved
The family of a 17 year old girl called the District Attorney's hotline and this action may have saved the girl's life. King's County District Attorney Charles Hines states that the girl had been lured away and turned into a sex slave. Arctic Rogers and an accomplice are being charged with using the internet for the purpose of prostituting underage girls. Arctic employed a fear tactic and forced the girl to watch as he tortured animals and told her that this is what would happen to her if she didn't comply with his wishes. The investigation is ongoing as there were other victims. The men being charged could face up to 25 years in prison if convicted. The Brooklyn DA's office stated in October of this past year that their office has been investigating so many sex slave crimes that it launched the first-ever sex trafficking unit in the city.
