Law enforcement officials had been investigating the alleged drug activity at a home in Delano which led to the recent arrest of two men from the LA area. Information reportedly led officers to believe that a 27-year-old man, I.C., and a number of others were responsible for drug trafficking in the area. A Kern County judge issued a search warrant and deputies served the warrant on Friday. Investigators entered the home and found five pounds of methamphetamine as well as a weapon. Several suspects in the home attempted to flee or hide and an apparently discarded handgun was found. Another LA man, 37-year-old A.R. was found hiding in a closet. Officers found cocaine and bullets on A.R. when a search was performed. Both A.R. and I.C. were taken into custody as well as other suspects found at the scene. The men are suspected of drug crimes and illegal weapons offenses.
