In Daytona Beach, a 26-year-old man was arrested today by local law enforcement in connection with the shooting death that took place last month.
Police arrested Emanuel L. Rivera and he is now facing charges of second-degree murder for the death of 25-year-old Lekeefe D. Lee.
Officers say that the shooting took place after a drug transaction during the evening hours of December 10, 2010. Lee allegedly drove away from the home but crashed his car into a utility pole where officers found him dead inside of the vehicle with a gunshot wound to the right side of his body.
Rivera later told police that he fired a shot into the car. He also admitted that he agreed to sell Lee 3 ounces of marijuana and had kept a gun belonging to Lee when he left with 2 ounces of the drug.
