Sheriff’s Deputy Charged with Sexual Assault

An Orange County, California sheriff's deputy has been charged with sexually assaulting a teenage girl after going to her family's home for a reported theft matter. The deputy, Scott Cole, reportedly responded to the mother's jewelry being stolen when he went into the teenager's room and sexually assaulted her. Now, he has formally been charged with one felony count for sexual assault on a minor. He is now on administrative leave with pay.
