Charge Filed in Theft of Police Car

A suspect has been arrested and charged after climbing from the back of a police cruiser and driving away with the car. Jay Marbut III was charged with vehicle theft and attempting to elude police. Marbut was originally arrested and charged with second-degree burglary after being accused of stealing three computer mice and power cords from an elementary school. Police eventually found him near his home still in handcuffs.
