Police Officer Facing Domestic Violence Charges

A New Mexico State Police officer has been arrested on domestic violence charges after he allegedly smacked and bit his wife during a fight. Luis Serrano and his wife had reportedly been drinking when he became upset about one of her ex-boyfriends. She alleges that he was verbally abusive, which turned in a physical altercation. Allegedly, Serrano held his wife down on a bed and eventually bit her lip. Furthermore, he reportedly also slapped her because she was crying too loud. Serrano was then arrested and charged with one count of battery on a household member.
