In Seattle, police report that a bag of teeth led to officers catching a man who had been linked to numerous odd
burglaries throughout dental laboratories in Washington.
The man, Shane Carlson (26), was identified after police found his fingerprints on the human teeth inside a bag in October. By finding the bag, police were able to link Carlson to 35 robberies at dental clinics and dental laboratories in Seattle, WA.
Prosecutors believe that the 26 year old would steal gold fillings and the gold that was used to make fillings. He would then sell the gold to make a profit.
This past Monday night, Carlson was riding in a car in Oregon and was stopped by police for a traffic violation. When police asked him for his name, he lied about his identity. Officers discovered that Carlson had many IDs in his possession, which prompted them to police him under arrest and run his fingerprints. They then discovered that Carlson had several warrants in Seattle.
Carlson is facing multiple charges for burglary and related offenses at this time.
