The body of a woman found lying on the shoulder of the 15 Freeway in Mira Loma meant that thousands of drivers had a seriously delayed commute this week. Although authorities have not discussed the reason why the woman died, it is believed to be the result of a homicide.
Officers with the California Highway Patrol responded to a call around midnight on Sunday when several drivers traveling north on the 15 Freeway called in to report the body. While officers first though that the woman had been hit by a vehicle, further examination revealed the possible homicide.
Sergeant Joe Borja of the Riverside County Sheriff's Department stated that "she had suffered injuries that were consistent with foul play, and now she's considered a victim of the homicide." The victim's name has not been released to the press yet until the next of kin have been notified of the death.
If you've been charged with murder, now is the right time to get a criminal defense attorney involved in your case.
