60 Marijuana Plants Found During Domestic Violence Investigation

When the police in Porter Township, Indiana received a call about a domestic violence dispute, they had no idea they were about to find approximately 60 marijuana plants.

Police were called to a home in Porter Township for an alleged incidence of domestic assault.  When the police arrived at the home, they could smell marijuana plants.  After searching the home, the police discovered potted plants and grow lights in a parked truck outside the property.

After obtaining a search warrant, the officers found additional materials and growing supplies.

Police are currently investigating whether or not a third person, who was at the home when the police arrived, was involved in the illegal activity.

Both the man and woman involved in the dispute had outstanding search warrants for their arrests.
