Arrested: Man Suspected of Fondling 8-Year-Old Girl

A 19-year-old Colorado man who allegedly fondled an 8-year-old girl in her bedroom has been arrested.

According to Douglas County Sheriff David Werner, deputies and detectives from the Parker Police Department responded to a report that a "prowler" was wondering around the same subdivision where the incident with the 8-year-old girl took place.

Two detectives spotted the license plate of a vehicle leaving the subdivision, and when they arrived at the address given for the vehicle, they found Tyler A. Sanchez sitting in the car. It was later learned that Sanchez was suspected of sexually assaulting the 8-year-old, although a spokeswoman for the police department will not disclose how Sanchez was linked to the incident.  

Sanchez, who lives with his parents on the north end of unincorporated Douglas County, was arrested and booked in Douglas County jail. He is facing charges for first-degree burglary, sexual assault on a child, and unlawful sexual contact.

Sanchez remains in custody in lieu of $1 million bail.
