Teen Pleading Guilty to Armed Robbery Charges in Mississippi

Recently reported on sunherald.com - In Hernando, Mississippi, a teen just pled guilty to armed robbery charges.  The teen was accused of robbing an elderly couple.  He has been sentenced with 30 years in prison.

The young man, 19 year old Randei Gayden, was standing trial in DeSoto County last Tuesday for armed robbery.  Yesterday, he pled guilty to his charges, two counts of armed robbery against an elderly couple.  Aside from 30 years in prison,Gayden was also sentenced with 15 years probation.

Prosecutors report that Randei Gayden and another person named Adrion McKay robbed 85 year old couple, Clay and Ernestine Davis, before stealing the couple's car.  The robbery supposedly took place after Mr. Davis refused to give the robbers the title to his car until their payment check had cleared.  It is believed that Mr. Davis' refusal provoked the men to commit the crime.

Mr. McKay pled guilty in June of 2008 and was sentenced with 35 years in prison.
