High-Class Prostitution Ring Busted in Brooklyn

According to New York police, five corporations and a total of seventeen people were indicted in Brooklyn in connection with a New York City escort service. They were charged with running a high-class prostitution and drug ring. The alleged racket had reaped in over seven million dollars within a three year period and catered to a high-end clientele. According to the Kings County District Attorney's office, some of the customers had the wherewithal to spend over $10,000 a night. Fees for the escort services ranged anywhere from $400 an hour to above $3,600, allegedly paying for sexual contact with escorts, purchasing cocaine and other controlled substances.

Multiple Indictment Allegations

The 144 count indictment which included allegations of promoting prostitution, enterprise corruption, money laundering and criminal sale of a controlled substance was brought against the escort service which is based in the Brooklyn area. Two escorts were separately indicted on charges of prostitution and drug charges.

Additional Indictment Charges

The indictment charges additionally included the concealment of clients' credit card charges within monthly billing statements and five different shell corporations were used on the statements instead of the escort service. It also charges that the models were required to sign employment contracts which prohibited sexual contact with clients in order to cover up the illegal activities of the business.
