Police and emergency services arrived and found the 23-year-old man bleeding profusely from the neck. He was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital and is now in stable condition after emergency surgery on his wound was performed. Police searched for the alleged attacker and located J.S. a block away from where the fight was. Arrest reports state that he was found in possession of methadone pills and what was described by arresting officers as an "edged weapon". J.S. has been charged with a number of serious offences including criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal possession of a weapon, harassment, disorderly conduct and felony assault.
