Chicago, March 23rd-- A man was arrested for DUI in the early morning hours just before he was due to appear in court on another drunk driving charge.
It was early in the morning when Chicago police noticed a 62-year-old man driving his vehicle without any headlights on. The suspicious officers pulled the man over, inquiring whether or not he had been drinking, the suspect responded saying that he had a little to drink, but he was not drunk. He also told the police officer that his driver’s license was suspended for drunk driving and that he had a court appearance later that morning.
Upon inspection of the suspect’s vehicle, police found a half-empty bottle of Cognac. The suspect was charged with felony aggravated DUI and misdemeanor driving on a suspended license in addition to other charges.
