Man Dies in Single Vehicle Rollover Wreck

Colorado State Patrol is investigating a fatal accident that happened on a recent Saturday morning. A Colorado Springs man was driving his late model SUV on Interstate 70 when the tragic crash happened. The 60-year-old man was travelling east just outside of Limon when he reportedly swerved to avoid pieces of shredded big rig tire. Reports say that he initially swerved into the median from the left-most lane of the highway before suddenly swerving out of the median and across all eastbound traffic lanes. His vehicle went onto the right shoulder at a high rate of speed and then flipped over several times before coming to a rest. Witnesses stopped to render aid and paramedics arrived promptly at the accident site. The man had been wearing his seat belt but was in critical condition with very severe injuries. He later succumbed to his injuries and died.
