Lindsey Lohan, the 24 year old actress, is getting news coverage but not for anything relating to her career. She is charged with grand theft for allegedly stealing a necklace worth $ 2,500 dollars from a jewelry store in Venice, California. The incident was apparently caught on video surveillance tape, showing her trying on different necklaces in the store.
The Spencer Company of Beverly Hills got hold of the tapes and claims they will be posting them on their website very soon. They have obtained the exclusive license for the tapes. It is not yet known exactly when it will post nor how much of it will be shared; Lohan has pleaded not guilty and will be back in court soon. She claims it was all a mistake and that she thought she was allowed to borrow the necklace. Her earlier legal violations involving drugs are still fresh in many people's minds.
