Accountant Charged with Human Trafficking as He Forced Women into Prostitution

The Huffington Post has reported that an accountant in Florida has been charged with three counts of human trafficking for allegedly holding three women in his home as personal sex slaves, as well as forcing them into prostitution.

The accused, T.D., 53, also posted a video he filmed that depicts his rape of one of the women.

He was initially charged on June 6, though additional charges are pending.

T.D. owns his own tax business and his large home – adorned with lion statues, a circular drive, and solar panels – is located in Gainesville. Investigators located traps, weapons, and running cameras that T.D. allegedly used to suppress his three female victims.

Reporters obtained the complaint filed by the Gainesville-Alachua County Drug Force. The complaint details the victim's ordeal began December of 2013. All three women had been listed on a escort website. T.D. met them, plied them with cocaine, and then quickly worked to have them serve as prostitutes. T.D. allegedly provided the transportation and collected their earnings.

T.D. used the victim's cell phones to monitor their whereabouts. He threatened them and hid cameras throughout his home – to both watch their sexual activities and record them without their ever knowing.

In December, one of the victims contacted the police. She had found a recording that T.D. has secretly made, depicting him raping her while she was unconscious due to a sleeping pill. T.D. was arrested and charged with sexual battery. He later made his bond of $250,000 and was released. He was arrested again in April on allegations of buying and selling crack cocaine.

At the April arrest, officers found traps in his home, knobs taken off doors, syringes, and homemade sex tapes. Two women also came forward and told police that T.D. was keeping them medicated – just so that he, and other men, could have sex with them at will.

The complaint states that the sex tapes were streaming online. Also according to the records, the women were kept locked inside the home, under 24-hour a day surveillance, and threatened with firearms.

The women were shown letters, allegedly written by other women that T.D. had held captive in similar circumstances.

Following T.D.'s arrest, one of his neighbors spoke out about what he had seen. The anonymous witness said, "About three weeks ago, a car followed my daughter as she walked through the neighborhood, then the car pulled over to his house. When I heard human trafficking, he could have been looking for my daughter. One night a truck drove up and dropped this girl off in the driveway. She was in a fetal position, moaning. Girls were screaming over there. Some of them would be outside on the phone, and they would be cursing."

T.D. is now being held on a $300,000 bond.
