Man Sentenced for Attempted Kidnapping of College Student

A man in the Vernon, Connecticut area has reportedly been sentenced for attempted kidnapping of a University of Connecticut student. According to reports, he was sentenced to eight years in prison followed by ten years of special parole after the man pled guilty to second-degree criminal attempt to commit kidnapping with a firearm. The student was reportedly walking when the man stopped his truck and held a gun to her for her to get into his vehicle. She was able to get away when he turned away from her. Police found him with the gun, ammunition, gloves, duct tape, rope, and Vaseline.
