Police Arrest Suspect in Murder of Ohio Mom

33-year-old Lynne Jackenheimer was on a relaxing vacation in North Carolina when disaster struck. The beautiful brunette went missing during her vacation, leaving her children wondering where she had gone. Eventually, her body was found in a vacant lot in Frisco, North Carolina. She had been murdered. Jackenheimer’s on and off boyfriend, Nathan Summerfield, was recently placed under arrest as a suspect in the case. He was living in a hotel in Medina County, and had booked his stay under a fictitious name. Fox News says that the man had grown a beard and was unarmed in the apartment. He did not resist arrest. Police have been searching for Summerfield ever since the death was discovered, assuming that the may be the killer. The boyfriend returned the woman’s children to Ashland in early July and then drove away and reportedly strangled Jackenheimer before doing so. From the autopsy, it was gathered that the young mom died from strangulation and stab wounds.

Jackenheimer had been worried about her safety regarding Summerfield before. She filed for an arrest warrant and a temporary restraining order after Summerfield allegedly choked her in December 2009. The woman also claims that she was dragged by her neck into the bedroom on the night of this first violent assault. Documents say that Lynn had red marks on her neck and scrapes on her arm after this first attack. Jackeheimer says that she was not sure what would happen to her, which is why she wanted to obtain a restraining order in the first place. Jackenheimer’s children know that she is missing, but they have not been informed of her murder as of yet. They are ages 3 and 13.
