Wrongly Accused Man Demands Apology

A man wrongly accused of committing a violent crime is demanding an apology from the Los Angeles Police Department. After being released from jail on an unrelated charge, he is now speaking publicly about his ordeals. G.R. was taken into custody earlier this year for the brutal beating of B.S., a paramedic from Santa Cruz. The victim was beaten at Dodgers Stadium for being a Giants fan. Based on his description of the assailant and eyewitness testimony, G.R.was brought into custody. However, he claimed over and over again that not only had he not beaten the victim, he had never been to Dodger Stadium in his life.

Although he was never formally charged in the beating, police were able to take G.R. into custody on different charges. When they went to his home to speak to him about the incident, he was found to be in possession of a firearm. This was in direct violation of his parole, prompting officers to detain him. G.R. spent several months in jail as a result of the probation violation. Do you stand accused of a violent crime?
