Former Teen Idol Completes Drug Treatment

A former teen idol of the 1970s has successfully completed a drug treatment program for heroin use. The man's completion of the treatment program has resulted in the dismissal of a heroin possession charge against the 49-year-old man.

The teen idol was found to have heroin in his possession after he consented to a search by sheriff's deputies in 2010. He pled no contest to the charges against him and chose to enter the drug treatment program. Doing so allowed him to forgo jail time and clear his name of these charges. The former teen star has had a number of drug arrests since his most popular years in the 1970s when he had a few hit songs and appeared on the cover of multiple teen magazines. Hopefully the completion of this drug treatment program will help the former teen star kick his bad habits once and for all.
