A woman lost her life in a bloody brawl after arguing with her boyfriend over trifles, such as a the lack of beer in the home and some uneaten noodles, as reported by the WPXI News, and the man is now facing a charge of criminal homicide.
State police reported that the accused, K.A.K, 38, of Wendel, is being held in Westmoreland County jail without bond.
K.A.K.'s girlfriend, T.M.O., 40, was found dead in the home they shared on Elkart Street in Herminie on November 13.
Police state that K.A.K. pushed T.M.O., a mother of two, into a door jam and kicked her in the chest before falling asleep and awakening, the next morning, to find that she had died overnight.
The two had spent the evening bar-hopping before coming home sometime after midnight. K.A.K. contended that T.M.O. argued with him because she was upset at not finding any beer to drink in the couple's home. Then, when she made him some noodles that he refused to eat, she grew more argumentative with him.
K.A.K. said that T.M.O. proceeded to try and hit him over the beer issue, and then she "got angry" when she had cooked the noodles and he told her "he didn't want to eat them."
T.M.O. allegedly threw the pot of noodles against a wall and that's when K.A.K. threw her into the door jam. T.M.O. grabbed K.A.K.'s leg and he retaliated by kicking her – in either the leg or chest area.
K.A.K. admitted to police that after he kicked her, T.M.O., on her knees, struggled to breathe. He claims that he offered to call an ambulance for help, she refused, and that's when he fell asleep on the couch.
Police found dried blood on T.M.O.'s nose, mouth and hands. They also detected bruising on her right breast.
Blood was also found throughout the house: on two separate doorways that entered the kitchen area, different parts of the carpeting – that led from the living room to their bedroom – and on a pair of jeans found on a bedroom chair.
The bloodied jeans had belonged to T.M.O.
Trooper S.L. described the scene as "horrific." He further reported, "There was a significant amount of blood and this woman was beaten to death. She died from trauma from the beating."
T.M.O.'s mother, N.W., claimed that the 10-year relationship between the two had been fraught with several beatings of her daughter. Of note, per N.W., was that her daughter recently had to have surgery on her face due to the repeated abuse – reconstructive surgery.
N.W. would like to see K.A.K. "get the chair" for her daughter's death. She added, "She doesn't deserve what she got. He is a mean, nasty person and I don't want no one else going through this."
An autopsy report from the Westmoreland County Coroner is not yet available.
