Hit and Run Driver to Be Sentenced

Although Tim Albo has certainly come a long way after sustaining severe brain trauma, there is still much recovery to be done for the victim of a hit and run accident last year.

Albo and friend Heather Hornman were crossing 20th and Chestnut in Denver last October when they were struck by driver Brandon Mondragon, who immediately fled the scene of the crime. He has since then plead guilty to leaving the scene of an accident and, under a deal with the prosecution, will receive 300 hours of community service, four years probation and six months work release.

He will be sentenced on April 25th and while they aren't pleased with the plea deal, Albo's family agreed to it as they were advised it was the best option they had considering the evidence. There could have been complications if it went to trial, including conflicting witness statements and the possibility that a key witness might not cooperate at the trial.

If you've been charged with hit and run, it is time to hire a criminal defense attorney!
