Former Officers Chared with Stealing from Parked Cars

In L.A., too retired LAPD officers have been charged with stealing from cars that were parked in a police tow yard. Both former officers worked at the tow yard as security guards.

According to local prosecutors, 65-year-old Forrest Gene Ferrone and 59-year-old Charles Ronnie Evans were charged on Wednesday.  Both were subjected to charges of conspiracy to commit grand theft.

In a criminal complaint, it is said that the two men along with another security guard dug through the interiors and trunks of hundreds of cars in the lot that were waiting for auction at Archer's Tow.

Both of the defendant's are set to be arraigned on December 3rd.  They were released after posting $20,000 bail each.  If they are convicted, they could be sentenced to three years in prison.
