Women Commit Fraud to Get Plastic Surgery

In Fort Lauderdale, police say that a woman was so desperate to have a perfect body that she broke the law to get plastic surgery.
The woman, 29 year old Shatarka Nuby, is facing charges for credit card fraud. Her charges occurred after the U.S. Postal Service said that she and an accomplice could receive over $9,000 worth of cosmetic procedures. Nuby and her accomplice used stolen credit cards to pay for their surgeries, which included a tummy tuck.
Nuby and her accomplice are not the only women who have stolen credit cards to pay for cosmetic procedures in Florida. Back in September, Patrice Thomas, received five years of probation for her credit card fraud offenses after she pled guilty. Police say that similar cases have also occurred in California and Pennsylvania.
