Mother Scolded for Son’s Violent Crimes

Recently, news sources revealed that Catherine Osborn was being blamed for her son John Garner's crimes.  Gardner was recently charged with raping and murdering two teenagers in the state of California. 

Gardner was arrested for his crimes in February and was held responsible for the deaths and disappearances of Chelsea King and Amber Dubois.  Since that time, his mother has tried to remain free and clear of the media. 

During the sentencing of her son, Osborn was scolded by Chelsea King's father, Brent King.  He said that Gardner's mother should have known what her son was doing and what he was capable of doing.  He also said that Osborn had a duty to protect the community from her son's violent actions.  King asserted that by harboring Garner, Osborn put many children at risk.

He told the court, "Miss Osborn, you have Chelsea's rape and murder and our pain on your soul."  Chelsea's mother, Kelly King, shared similar feelings during the sentencing.
