Man Sentenced in Student Assault Matter

A New Jersey man has been sentenced in the matter of an assault on a Kutztown University student. Michael Morrone was convicted on all charges and will spend up to 20 years in prison and pay more than $2.2 million in restitution. Reportedly, Morrone pushed Christine McGhee out of his truck and then dragged her through a parking lot. McGhee is in a minimally conscious state and unable to interact with her environment. Morrone was ordered to jail for aggravated assault and also ordered to serve a concurrent sentence of nine months to seven years for causing an accident involving death or personal injury.
