Mother Stabs 10 Year Old Daughter to Death

In Los Angeles, 49 year old Bong Sook Chavez has been charged with stabbing her 10 year old daughter to death inside her home in San Pedro.  Chavez is the wife of a retired Navy reservist.

Police say that Chavez was charged with murder for her daughter's death and that she is being held at a hospital jail ward in lieu of $1 million bail amount.

Authorities told news sources that the husband found his daughter, Quesi, stabbed to death with a kitchen knife inside of his home, which is part of Fort MacArthur's military housing.

When he woke up, he ran to his daughter's bedroom and found his wife stabbing both herself and saw that his daughter was seriously wounded.   Quesi died from her knife wounds at the hospital.

Police report that Chavex has a history of mental illness and that they are not sure when she will be arraigned.
