Attorney Pleads to Reduced Domestic Violence

A defense attorney in the Salt Lake City, Utah area has pleaded no contest to a reduced domestic violence charge. According to reports, James Valdez hit his wife in the head after she got angry. He also tried to restrain her. The wife was later treated for a minor head injury, facial wound and a possible nasal fracture. The original felony assault charge was reduced to a misdemeanor as part of the plea bargain. Valdez will now have to complete counseling and community service, along with following other requirements.
