Reality Cast Member of "Hammertime" Charged with Rape

Police are reporting that Marvin Grant, the cousin of MC Hammer, was been officially charged with raping a 40 year old woman. Grant is well-known for appearing on MC Hammer's new reality TV show, "Hammertime".
According to reports, Grant met the victim on Twitter, a popular social networking website. After the two met on the site, they arranged to meet at a Livermore hotel on July 28th. In court documents, it is revealed that Grant allegedly forced himself upon the woman, despite her protests.
This past week, Grant appeared in court, but did not enter a plea. After his arrest last month, he requested a public defender. If Grant is convicted, he will face jail time, fines and other harsh legal penalties for his sex crime offense. He is commonly referred to as "Marv" on MC Hammer's show, which is broadcasted on A&E.
