In Los Angeles, police have arrested 4 reputed members of a local gang who are believed to have caused over $50,000 in vandalism. The destruction of property supposedly occurred during the Lakers' NBA Championship, but the vandals were only caught recently.
According to Lt. Erik Ruble, the South Los Angeles gang was suspected of trashing a bus, train cars and other property belonging to the Metropolitan Transportation Authority. The gang allegedly committed their property crimes on June 14th.
What the vandals did not know is that security cameras captured one of them on film. Police tried to locate the man, but their attempts led to the capture of 4 other gang members instead. One of the members was arrested for violating his parole and the others were arrested on warrants for crimes that were not related to the vandalism that occurred during the Lakers' championship.
At this time, L.A. police are still looking for the other suspects.
