In Wisconsin, officers from the Oshkosh police department recently arrested a 33 year old woman for
prostitution. According to police, the woman was married, had a small child and was running a prostitution operation out of her residence.
Officers report that the mother was working out of her home while her husband was at work. She would commit sex acts for money while her child was at school.
Police also report that the woman would use a website to advertise her services to prospective clients. She would charge clients approximately $125 per session when they arrived at her home.
When asked why she was prostituting herself, the mother said that she had used to money to pay her bills. She also claimed that she had a regular client base and that she had started offering her sexual services last summer.
In the state of Wisconsin, prostitution is categorized as a misdemeanor offense, which means that the mother will most likely not have to spend time in jail for her crime. However, if convicted of this sex crime, she may have to pay monetary fines and be placed on probation.
