Dad Pleads Not Guilty to Robbing Store with Daughter by His Side

News sources in Ellensburg, Washington are reporting that a father just pled not guilty to robbing a store while with his young daughter, who is 9 years of age.   Reports indicate that the man robbed a local convenience store with his child by his side.

The store's surveillance video revealed that on March 31, 2009, the young girl walked into the convenience store wearing a pink coat.  She was followed by a robber who pulled out a gun and took $200 from the store's clerk.  On the video, the robber told the clerk why he was stealing from the store, he said, "I'm out of work.  My daughter's got to survive."  The clerk was interviewed later by a local TV station.  He told them that the robber had tears in his eyes and insisted that his daughter needed medical treatment.

At this time, the daughter has been placed with her mother. 

The defendant, Robert Daniel Webb of Everett, was placed under arrest on April 14 and has since then been held on $500,000 bail.  Web, who is 42 years old, please not guilty this past Monday to charges of robbery and reckless endangerment.
