If you have been served with a restraining order, you are probably worried and concerned. Most likely you have probably never been to court for any reason. Our attorneys can assist you and represent you in court for a very reasonable cost to you. Our attorneys also represent petitioners requesting the court to issue an injunction (restraining order) against a spouse, family member or others for repeat domestic violence.
A restraining order is an order that is issued by a court that forbids the man or woman served with the restraining order from making any contact with the person who filed for the restraining order. Contact is not limited to physical contact. Contact also includes speaking with the person, e-mailing the person, calling the person, emailing the person, or even writing to the person who filed for the order. Restraining orders are oftentimes issued in domestic violence cases. Once a restraining order has been filed in court, the person who was served with the restraining order must stop any and all forms of contact and communication. If the person does not stop communicating with or contacting the person who filed for the restraining order, the person can be charged with violation of a restraining order and may face jail time and/or fines.
