Attorney Adam M. Lustberg focuses his practice on the defense of those being investigated for or accused of crimes. His passion for criminal defense began as a first-year law student while interning for the Essex County Public Defender's Office through Seton Hall University's Pro Bono Program. As a third-year law student he returned to the Public Defender's Office through Seton Hall University's Juvenile Justice Clinic, representing countless juveniles at initial proceedings.
Mr. Lustberg graduated from Seton Hall University School of Law in May of 2004. He passed both the New Jersey and New York Bar Exams on his first try the following summer. He is currently admitted to practice in both states.
As an attorney, Mr. Lustberg has represented individuals being investigated for or formally charged with all manner of offenses, from simple possession of marijuana in Municipal Court to 1st degree drug charges in Superior Court. He has represented individuals accused of burglary, aggravated assault, possession of assault weapons, possession of handguns, prostitution, promoting prostitution, promoting gambling, identify theft, gang related offenses and many others. In each case, Mr. Lustberg works diligently with the client, the client's family, the prosecutor and the Court to obtain as fair and just a result as possible. His preparation and attention to detail show in the courtroom and he takes very seriously his position as an advocate for his clients.
Mr. Lustberg was born and raised in Northern New Jersey, less than 10 miles from New York City. In his spare time he enjoys fishing, exercising and surfing.
