Robbery refers to the taking of another person's property against their will through force or fear. Under California law, robbery is a "
violent crime." A robbery conviction will count as a "strike" on your criminal record. Use of a weapon during the commission of a robbery carries enhanced penalties than if it were a simple robbery.
